Donations
We really do need your help to keep There is Hope on the radio. August is decision month, Unless we get July caught up (we owe $180) and raise enough funds for August, There is Hope will be off the air starting Sept 1. Your donation is tax-deductible and will help us to make a difference in the lives of those who struggle with addiction. Here in Seattle there is a non-profit group that is giving away free crack pipes to 'help stop the spread of HIV'. We have a better solution-help people to not use crack in the first place. Shouldn't There is Hope be able to raise more money than a non-profit raising money to give away free crack pipes?
For the months of July and August we are giving as a free gift the e-book titled Let Go - Let God by Dr. Jantz, for any donation amount.
As a special gift to those who donate $25 or more, we are offering a free documnetary DVD on heroin addiction by Larry Dubois, an e-book titled Let Go - Let God by Dr. Jantz, and an audio message titled God Can Heal You (based upon the e-book) by radio host Richard Dover. Make a Donation

Rich Dover
Honesty & Recovery
If a person wants to walk in true recovery they need to have a goal of being an honest person which is just the opposite of how many addicts have lived. For most addicts they have lived a life of lies and deceptions. However, with God's grace an ex-addict can be a person of integrity.
Rich Dover
Relapse-What to Do and Not Do When Relapse Occurs
It does not have to happen but the sad truth is that many who are in recovery will relapse. In this broadcast I talk about what to do and not do when relapse occurs. There are ways to stop one bad choice from becoming another cycle of walking in addiction.

We interviewed Tia Matthews. Tia has been clean & sober for two years after being an alcoholic and drug addict for many years. Once Tia made a true decision to no longer use alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, or go to men for love and acceptance, her life dramatically changed. This does not mean it has not been hard for her at times. As a single mother of two children life can be very challenging. However, there are principles that Tia has learned that have given her the strength to walk in victory over her addictions. Some of the principles that she has applied have come from an Encounter with God Seminar.

The Influence of Fathers and Choices
We
interviewed Gideon and Josh. Gideon, 79, was sexually abused as a young boy. Because of the influence of a great father Gideon did not go into addictions to deal with his emotional wounds. He did not become an abuser himself. He also has been a godly father who has children that are living for God. He made a choice to live above his circumstances.
Josh story is much different. Josh was raised by a father who was an alcoholic. Josh started drinking at 9 years old. He later started experimenting with drugs and became a full blown alcoholic. He went to live with his mother and they became drinking buddies. If it was not for an intervention Josh would still be going down a road of destruction. He had to make a choice to live beyond the influence of a very dysfunctional father. Josh shares what he has been learning and applying in his life to walk as an overcomer. Next week we will be talking with Josh again and sharing more of his recovery and how an Encounter Weekend can help someone like Josh. Josh and his mother Donna are featured on A & E Intervention TV show on Monday, June 28 at 9pm Pacific time.
